We stopped for lunch in the city of Shkodra both on our way to Theth and on the way back. Shkodra lies on a plain where three rivers meet and one is actually Drim from Lake Ohridin the south-eastern part of the country while Shkodra is in the north-west corner. It is on the shore of the biggest lake in Albania, and has a long history with Venezia as an important element.
It has a castle built by Illyrians, Ottomans and Venezians. It was of course a climb to get up there, but the view was great.
