The bird I associate with the Andes is the condor, but to see it in the wild is more than difficult. But we visited a bird rehabilitation center, and they had two condors. It was a sad sight, they just sat there.
They had many other predator birds and we were shown a selection. Some of the birds were meant to be returned to the wild, but some would not survive. Please do not expecgt me to know the names of the birds.
The bird to the left did not return after it was allowed to do a solo flight. After 5-6 successful returns it suddenly dissappeared into the valley. The keeper was not worried, it had once on the loose for five days. It came back when it found out it was the easiest way to get food. And after an hour it returned.
They had other birds as well.
