Of course the most famous birds on Galapagos are Darwin’s finches. I saw some of them, but getting a picture, that is a different story. But I was able to catch one on a cactus.
The ocean was the livelihood for most of the birds and we saw impressive synchronized diving. Many used the water as a resting place between fishing.
But the bird we saw most of was the pelican, and here are some pelican pictures.
Isabela has a small number of flamingoes and they are really photogenic.
We also saw a single heron.
