Travelling around in Georgia you get the impression that there is a castle or a church or both on many hilltops. When I see all these medieval buildings on remote locations I am thinking on those who actually built them. It is said they were built by dukes, bishops etc, but I am sure they did not lift a stone. No, hundreds or thousands of ordinary people and craftsmen did the work, but we will never know their names. They are the real heroes in history. Here is a selection of buildings overlooking the surroundings.
