Arequipa.

We stayed three nights in the city of Arequipa. It is a nice city, but not with so many interesting places as the other we had visited. Our hotel was across the street from an old and large monastery for women, Santa Catalina, which we visited .

The other incident I remember is that I unprepared came in the middle of what they called a carnival. In my book, it was not much of a carnival, but it was fun.

I write separate posts from these two happenings.

Pictures from Arequipa. The mountain north of the city was mostly covered with clouds, but I was able to get a picture when it was clearly visible.
